It's that time of the year, when the leaves turn orange and the air turns chilly; you have no choice but to tearfully hang up your hype sneakers and switch them in for your bulky, heavy & generally unappealing pair of boots. Except, maybe you don't have to. At least, not with Timberland's upcoming FlyRoam fall collection you won't. Learning the tricks of the trade from fellow athleisure wears, combined with its longstanding expertise in creating boots of versatility and comfort, Timberland's FlyRoam is a blend of both its classic heritage and the modern, sporty style inherited from the Stan Smith's and Yeezy's of our day. What we see now are a set of boots that are still defined by the trademark ruggedness of Timberland: a set of high tops crafted with leather uppers that fare well against briskier weather, along with neutral and vibrant colours of wheat, brass and black that blend in with our natural and urban landscapes. Except, the moment your feet make contact with the shoe is the moment you'll realise that these are a whole different ball game. Stepping into the shoe, you'll notice instantly how the shoe feels a lot lighter and well-cushioned. That's because the FlyRoam sneakers are incoporated with its Aerocore energy system, constructed from high-rebound PU foam to form its cushioning, with rubber features meshed sparingly on the outer sole to create the necessary effect of its reduced weight and flexibility. Light and reactive, it'll feel and breathe entirely like a sneaker, yet have the protection and durability of any boot around. It'd be just like stepping into a pair of your favourite Jordans, except these babies actually keep your feet protected from harsh terrains and rougher climates. That way, you'll be able to hike mountains, crawl through tunnels, traverse and explore places with all the freedom that you want, all while feeling hype and comfortable as hell. Maybe your boots aren't so bad after all.
