Pray to the denim gods, for we just can't get enough of it these days. Thankfully, Omega has come to answer our denim prayers with the launch of its revamped Railmaster watch. An homage to the original Omega Railmaster created in 1957, the updated model pays tribute to its industrial past and its role in working-class life with its new denim-inspired design. This Railmaster has the inherent ingredients of the previous iteration: 40mm stainless case that has a water resistance rating of 150m, a wave-edged caseback with Omega's Naiad Lock system that keeps the seal secure and wording in perfect positioning. However, the first difference you'll notice is the dial. While the first Railmaster's dial was brushed in black and silver, this model carries a blue jeans dial, inspired by the workman heritage of denim jeans as the clothing of choice for miners, factory workers, farmers and railway workers. Revolving around the dial is the lollipop seconds hand, painted in orange that is reminiscent of the colored stitching found on denim jeans. Maintaining its theme, the dial and hand is complemented by the blue-denim-accented strap attached with brown leather on its underside. Designed in NATO style, it goes well with your denim jacket, white tee and staple 80s' look, perfect for a casual summer day. While the design certainly gets props for its improved aesthetics, its tech specs also get a major boost thanks to its newly debuted Master Chronometer Calibre. Named after the rigorous quality-check system individualised by Omega spanning several decades, the Master Chronometer Calibre enables the timepiece's anti-magnetism, allowing it to withstand magnetism of over 15,000 gauss & 15 times more than the original Railmaster model. Which means, no more pauses, delays or malfunctions under the exposure of iPhones, mobile devices or airport security checks. It can safely be said that 90% of other watches would be unable to match Omega's level of watch accuracy thanks to this very upgrade (no offense). And, all in a day's work.
