Bottega Veneta’s Art of Collaboration project is making a return for its spring-summer 2018 digital-first advertising campaign created with renowned agency Baron & Baron. Reflections, the spring-summer 2018 campaign is an anthology series of six distinct and deeply cinematic films directed by Fabien Baron will be released in a series throughout the season. Each film focuses on a different narrative and character that highlights the collection and celebrates the essence of the brand: Mystery, Sophistication, Architecture, Sensuality and Surrealism. The concept of Reflections is about pausing for a moment to think, to consider, and to see things differently. A single story can be viewed differently via an alternate angle, hence the story can be told in multiple ways. The story arcs in Reflections’ six films are rebirth, reversal of time and reconnection. Drawing similarities to the brand’s iconic intrecciato weave, each chapter has an innate and unspoken tension reflected by the mood, music and movement within the films. The format is inspired by the modern obsession with episodic content, driven by the Golden Age of television and series streaming platforms like Netflix and Hulu. The six films will be released sequentially through various platforms and on the brand's website.
