We’ve all faced this dilemma one time or another: Bought some pretty damn nice Saint-Louis crystal, don’t have an equally chic surface to place ‘em on. Well, Saint-Louis has heard the inner most thoughts of interior design obsessives by coming up with a 25-piece collection of furniture – named Folia – that mixes and matches their crystal with original wood furniture, their first-ever attempt at the craft. Designed by Paris-based furniture specialist Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, it was part of a 30-month project between the two and was inspired by Saint-Louis’s home ground of Moselle. According to press material (because not all of us have been to Moselle), that means “dense forest, clearings foliage and ferns of the city’s surrounding forests.” Expect workshop-inspired sofa side tables, bookcases, consoles to be part of this collection with each ash wood piece supporting the uniqueness of the foliage-inspired crystal. Be prepared to be spoilt by your future furniture choices after this one.
