Think of the best-selling music merch you could have gotten your hands on in the last year and even a kid would tell you it is by a record-breaking teen by the name of Billie Eilish. Now, think of the cutest art-fashion merch you can get your hands on in the last two decades and it likely involves a Japanese three times Eilish’s senior by the name of Takashi Murakami. So, if our calculations are correct, it is a no-brainer that merging these two creators would be what the cool cats of today would deem as drip. Thankfully, both feel the same way too which led to last year’s collaboration of an acid trip-type of a music video for You Should See Me In A Crown directed by Murakami. Now, the pair are at it again in a manner befitting of neon tresses and smiley-faced manga flowers. Thanks to Uniqlo UT, their colourful aesthetics are combined on a line of graphic tees for men, women, and kids. What to expect? Think Blohsh (Eilish’s signature lopsided stick figure) and Murakami’s smiley faces on flowers. Essentially, they are everything you love about that music video but in wearable form. The collection will be available online on May 25 and in stores on May 29.
