Sorry, Texas. It’s safe to say they do it bigger in Abu Dhabi now. Bvlgari captured the imaginations of many with a spectacular high jewellery collection preview in the Manhattan of the Middle East in mid-February. Deemed as the first collaboration between the Roman jeweller and a member of the United Arab Emirates Royal Family in Sheikha Fatima Bint Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the collection named Jannah is based on the five-petal flowers that can be seen on the ceilings of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and symbolises Sheikha Fatima’s “vision for the future.” In respect of this landmark collab, Bvlgari orchestrated the launch event in an equally stunning location – under the dome of Lourve Abu Dhabi. Like a star-studded evening in Hollywood, a line-up of celebrities from the region turned up to witness the blend of cultures including Indian actress Sonam Kapoor, Saudi Arabian singer Aseel Omran, and Egyptian actress Tara Emad, just to name a few.
