Billie Eilish is telling us to come out and play. Following MCM's launch of their autumn-winter 2019 campaign featuring the breakthrough music superstar herself, MCM decided to host a two-day pop-up event in collaboration with the bury a friend singer, which showcased not only her limited co-branded capsule collection with MCM, but also her own merchandise “blōhsh”. And in Billie Eilish-esque manner, the pop-up was held at the brand's experience store at 1976 BERLIN, located at Torstrasse 74, one of Berlin's most unique locations. It only feels like yesterday when Billie Eilish announced herself to the world, with her honest, soul-bearing lyrics that endeared her to every single young person in the world. Her experiences, in many ways, were very much their own. But despite her global icon status, she still remains as down-to-earth (as her lyrics) as ever, stopping by the pop-up store and surprising over 1000 fans who lined up for hours to support her. Upon being greeted by Billie Eilish and entering the space, guests were treated to MCM x Billie Eilish merchandise that showcased three styles including an oversized hoodie in a green lime, a black longsleeve and a white T-shirt all featuring graffiti prints of the Blōhsh stick figure logo and Billie Eilish’s tag. And in classic millennial eco-conscious fashion, the collection consists entirely of PETA-Approved Vegan apparel that makes certain your standard eco-fix is satisfied. To top it off, a two day hang-out with Billie Eilish? Not too shabby at all.
