Revolutionary movies and shows are nothing new. From V for Vendetta to The Matrix, there’s the symbolic resistance against fascist regimes and faux democracies. Heist films too: from Fast and Furious 5 to Inception, it's all about assembling a rag-tag gang of misfits to steal X amount of cash at X city. But Álex Pina’s La Casa de Papel, aka Money Heist - which revolves around a criminal mastermind who recruits eight people with different abilities to carry out the biggest heist in history - puts together all these pop culture movie elements to become the perfect revolutionary heist cocktail blend that we’ve come to love in just two seasons. From red uniforms, the Salvador Dalí-inspired masks worn by the protagonists during the heist to the Italian anti-fascist song “Bella ciao” played multiple times in emblematic scenes as a metaphor of resistance and freedom, this sort of rebellious attitude is exactly why Italian label Diesel aptly teamed up with the hit Netflix show: coinciding with the July 19 Netflix release date, Diesel is organising an online contest to offer 150 fans the chance to own one of the limited-edition original red-hooded suits appearing on the upcoming third season of the show. And if you don’t win, don’t fret just yet our fellow aficionado. Besides the limited-edition hoodies, Diesel is also dropping a 14-piece capsule collection starring the brand’s classic reversible jacket with prints from Le Casa de Papel. And embodying the menacing, rebellious, and playful attitude of the show, the other pieces in the capsule collections - T-shirts, hoodies, jackets and caps - will also feature bold graphics, along with the characters' names and the Dalí masks. What’s more, members of Diesel’s D:Code loyalty program will get early access to the members-only exclusive sale, with prices ranging from 40 euros (35 pounds) to 230 euros (205 pounds).
